Obituary of Mae L. Hendricks

Mae L. Hendricks (nee Lange) went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Mae was born in Wallington, NJ on September 11, 1920. The oldest of four children born to Hilda and William Lange, she and her three brothers spent their childhood playing on the hills of Wallington and Carlstadt, NJ. When she was in her teens she moved with her family to Waldwick, NJ. There she was introduced to the love of her life, Russell Hendricks. They married in 1940 and she moved in to the Hendricks family home in Midland Park, NJ, where she lived until 2008 when she moved to Mahwah, NJ then in 2013 she moved to Saddle River, NJ. That company was bought out by TRW Credit Bureau and moved to Parsippany from where she retired in 1980. Mae was known for her unlimited supply of Christmas cookies that she would stand for hours and make to share with one and all. She was a prolific oil painter and there is not a family member that does not have at least one of her paintings. She loved doing all sorts of needle work too. She was an active member and Communion Stewart at Paramus Community Church for many years. In 1999 she joined the Congregation of Grace Community Church in Franklin Lakes, NJ where she remained a member until God called her home.
